Devin McCourty

Pros

Cons

Overall

Devin McCourty is a corner with a lot of upside, he is an overall tremendous athlete. Great speed, agility, and quick feet. He brings energy and playmaking ability every time he steps on the field, whether it's racing down field to make a tackle on special teams, knocking down a pass, breaking a long kick return, or blocking a punt, all things he did frequently in college. While he will be able to make a difference on special teams immediately, it is doubtful he can come in from day 1 and be a starter at corner. Very raw talent, who gets beat over the top too often, and overall just gives up too many completions. He stand back and learn the game, and there is very little doubt with good coaching he will be able to make the jump to a starting cornerback in the N.F.L. He could come off the board anywhere from the late first to early second round range.
