Derrick Morgan

Pros

Cons

Overall

Morgan is our top rated Defensive End prospect in this years draft. He has the perfect size and skill set to be very productive in a 4-3 defense. He plays with great pad level, gets great leverage in the trenches, which allow him to break through the line and into the backfield. He also has an extremely quick jump off the snap, great first step, and gets lineman on their heels early. He is N.F.L. ready when it comes to pass rusher moves, hand placement, and overall technique. He, unlike some of the other DE prospects in the draft, does not have tremendous upside, he has pretty much reached his potential, which on the flip side means he is very unlikely to bust. He doesn't have elite athleticism or speed, but definitely good enough to be a top level pass rusher at the next level. Morgan is an elite defensive end prospect and will be off the board within the top 10 picks.
