Bruce Campbell

Pros

Cons

Overall

Bruce Campbell has the most upside of any left tackle prospect in this years draft. His combination of size, strength, and athleticism is unmatched. His exploits at the Combine were well documented, running a 4.85,putting up 34 reps in the bench press, and looking great in all his drills. The talent and potential is obviously there, and if he could put it all together would be an All-pro in the N.F.L. On the downside, he also has a high potential to bust. He is very raw and inexperienced, only started 17 games in his career in a season and a half at Maryland. He already has battled injuries throughout short time at Maryland, and to this point does not play with good awareness, or a high football IQ. He gets beat inside often, and sometimes just doesn't touch his man, it comes off as lazy, but we classify it as lack of football knowledge, and experience. He definitely needs to be coached up at the next level, and if he can wrap his brian around the intricacies of being a N.F.L left tackle, he could very well be great. Some team will take the risk on him high in the first round, and it is doubtful that he falls past the Raiders and Al Davis at pick 8.
