Pros

Cons

Overall

I hate to start my overview of Luck with something negative, but with people comparing him to Peyton Manning, and saying he is the best QB prospect to come out Ever, I feel obligated to bring out some things people seem to ignore. Don't get me wrong, Luck is the #1 player in the draft, and I 100% percent agree that he will be a great quarterback in the league, but the notion that he is a sure fire Hall of Famer with no flaws, is an exaggeration. My main concern with Luck is that I question his ability to fit balls into tights spaces, and complete passes down the field into traffic. His arm strength is very good, but is not elite. It isn't a negative aspect, but he just doesn't get the zip on the ball like Matthew Stafford, Michael Vick has. Also he played behind great collegiate offensive line, giving him all day to throw and find the open guy. Now on to the great things about Luck, and there are many! What I will say is that he is definitely the Smartest Quarterback to come out since Manning. His ability to read defenses, especially pre play, effectively use his eyes, and go through progressions is something that you do not see from many Top NFL Quarterbacks. He is also extremely accurate, who does a great job hitting his receivers in stride, and putting the ball on him right out of their breaks. From a technical standpoint, he is just about perfect, his footwork, and throwing mechanics are flawless. So overall, I really love Andrew Luck, and think in a short time he will be one of the best QB's in the league, but I just think he is not this Perfect QB Prospect that people are making him out to be.
